June 28, Chongqing. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the “Enjoy Intelligence for a Green City - Changan Eado EV460 Battery Swapping Version Launch Delivery and Battery Swapping Network Release” was held. With the delivery of 100 units of Changan Eado EV460 battery swapping version vehicles, Aulton officially launched the operation of Chongqing city-level battery swapping service network.

Based on Aulton's layout plan in Chongqing, a preliminary city-level battery swapping service network has been formed by the end of June 2021, with a total of 20 battery swapping stations completed and expected to increase to 60 by the end of the year; the target is to build 200 battery swapping stations in Chongqing by 2023.

Partners of Changan New Energy Battery Swapping Alliance were invited to attend the activity. In addition to Aulton,  the battery swapping alliance built by CATL, Sinopec, PetroChina, Chongqing Expressway, T3 Travel, Grandtopeak Group, CAERI, China Tower, China Merchants Testing Vehicle Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., TSINGSHAN and more than 30 partners officially “debut” for the first time. The multi-party force jointly witnessed the establishment of Chongqing's battery swapping ecology initiated by Changan New Energy, helping Chongqing to declare a national demonstration city for battery swapping.

As a key part of the battery swapping ecology, the first batch of the latest generation of battery swapping stations in Chongqing has been put into the market in April this year. It has only been 9 months since the completion and commissioning of the first Aulton battery swapping station in Chongqing, the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center Station. Under the guidance of the host, the officiating guests joined the launch ceremony together to witness the release of Changan New Energy's battery swapping network.

At the launch site, Yang Dayong, General Manager of Changan New Energy, delivered the key symbolizing the start of the “new journey” to the representatives of Chongqing Taxi Operators Association, and the vehicle delivery ceremony was completed immediately. 100 units of Changan Eado EV460 battery swapping version taxis were collectively departed. The taxi drivers of these 100 Eado EV460 battery swapping version taxis will only need to spend 1 minute each time to enjoy the highest speed and efficiency of Aulton sharing and speedy battery swapping service in the world, which will greatly improve their energy replenishment and charging efficiency, increase the effective operating time and increase the driver's income.

Following the national and Chongqing city's development deployment of vehicle electrification, Aulton and its strategic partner Changan New Energy have formed a close synergy to improve the construction of a city-level battery swapping service network with 200 battery swapping stations in Chongqing in the next three years. In 2021, the first batch of 60 battery swapping stations will be completed, forming a service capacity of more than 10,000 vehicles; in 2022, 80 new battery swapping stations will be added; and in 2023, another 60 battery swapping stations will be added and completed. The goal is to build a battery swapping service network with a service capacity of over 30,000 NEVs in Chongqing within 3 years, which is sharing, speedy, safe and friendly.

As of May 2021, Aulton is currently operating 316 battery swapping stations across China, is the highest number of battery swapping stations laid out by major battery swapping operators in China, covering more than 20 cities across the country, making it the leading enterprises of battery swapping.

With the leading technology and scale operation advantages, Aulton has been recognized by most of the Chinese mainstream vehicle enterprises. Currently, Aulton has entered into cooperation with 14 vehicle enterprises, including Changan, BAIC, SAIC, FAW, GAC and Dongfeng, to jointly develop 22 vehicle models of battery swapping.

At present, the “booming” of battery swapping model is related to the national strategies of “carbon peaking” and “carbon neutrality” and the explosion of NEV industry. As a rapid energy replenishment technology for NEVs, the battery swapping model has significant advantages. As Aulton continues to promote the accelerated layout of city-level battery swapping service network across China, and more vehicle enterprises continue to develop their shared mobility business, the battery swapping model will usher in a broader market space.

Chongqing, as a major town in southwest China, is the first city in the region to form a battery swapping alliance ecology by joining hands in strength of Changan New Energy and Aulton, in collaboration with a wide range of industry partners, to achieve “station collaboration” and ecological connectivity, which is an industry leader in the southwest region and even across China. With the accelerated layout of Aulton's battery swapping business in Sichuan and Chongqing, more room for imagination has been built for the future “Greater Chongqing” and even the cross-city battery swapping network linking Sichuan and Chongqing. This is just one of the city-level battery swapping service networks that Austria has laid out this year. In the near future, the “small city network” will be linked to the “large national network” and form a synergy to switch to a blue sky!
